The end of June is the first year anniversary of Lynn's retirement from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Although he has not participated in any of the other activities of the LLNL Retirees Association, he decides to go to the annual picnic and take Annie. The event is being held on the grounds of the beautiful Ravenswood Historic Site, featuring a main house that was constructed in 1891.

Lynn wears a bowler hat and a vintage shirt to match Annie and is pegged by several retirees as a member of the band. While almost everyone is a stranger to Lynn, he manages to fall in with a friendly crowd and enjoys a great lunch, interesting conversation and some wine.

For some time, Lynn has wanted to take pictures of Bugsby in front of the Queen-Anne buildings that grace Ravenswood. As the crowd from the picnic begins to thin, Lynn asks Frank Rainer, who has been taking pictures of the event, if he would take some pictures of Annie; Frank readily agrees. Not only does Frank take a dozen well composed pictures, he writes them to a CD and delivers it to Lynn's house later that day. Thanks, Frank!
