Engine—An Edison In The head!

The Kissel Model 6-55 advanced six-cylinder engine

SPARK PLUGS: Bugsby arrived with five Champion W-20 spark plugs and one Edison 37T spark plug.

It took Lynn awhile to notice that one spark plug was different than the other five. When he was polishing the plugs, Lynn finally recognizes that there are five Champion and one Edison spark plugs in the car. Lynn had never heard of an Edison spark plug before and it literally generated a spark of excitement when he found one in his car. It definitely felt like a connection with the past.

Since the discovery, Lynn has tried to acquire a complete set of NOS (new old stock) Edison plugs on eBay. Lynn finds them offered one at a time and usually at exorbitant prices. Lynn learns that there is a market in collectable spark plugs -- he would never have guessed. In fact, his efforts with Bugsby has introduced Lynn to a number of more uncommon collectable memorability communities, including license plates, radiator emblems, hub caps and hood ornaments (particularly Motometers). Unfortunately this means that Lynn has to pay premium prices for these items for use on Bugsby. Fortunately this means that people are collecting this stuff and there's more of it around.

Lynn has been able to find other NOS spark plugs on eBay for more reasonable prices. He has acquired a complete case (10 plugs) of Lesota 78-T plugs (Albert Lea, Minnesota), four Blue Crown Husky 75COM plugs, three AC 74COM plugs, and one Edison 37T plug.
