The Initial FresheningGo to <Last, Summary, Next>Exterior—Wheel Hubs
Lynn disassembles, cleans, lubricates, replaces missing springs, polishes and paints all six wheel hubs. The hubs are threaded differently on the left-hand and right-hand sides of the car, to help prevent loosening of the hubs from the forward motion of the car. Lynn makes an interesting discovery. The spare tire carriers are each mounted on the WRONG side of the car. The wheel nuts are threaded differently for the left-hand and right-hand sides of the car, and the spare tire carriers have been reversed. Being the kind of maniac that he is, Lynn spends a Saturday afternoon correcting this error. Contact with your comments or questions Copyright © 2018 Lynn Kissel Last updated: May 24, 2009 |
